The film was produced in association with Flying Bark Productions and ZDF. The film is directed by Alexs Stadermann, and produced by Patrick Elmendorff and Thorsten Wegener from Studio 100 Animation Jim Ballantine and Barbara Stephen from Buzz Studios.
